Board of Directors
Samuel Bush-Joseph, MPP
Sam Bush-Joseph is Head of Growth Operations at Class, an education technology startup based in Washington, DC. Prior to Class, he led similar functions in Sales Operations and Sales Development at other high-growth startups in the EdTech and high-tech industries. Sam is dedicated to life-long learning and is passionate about education - after graduating from university, he started his career as an educator in multiple DC public charter schools serving the Capitol Hill East and Anacostia neighborhoods.
Sam earned a Masters of Public Policy from Georgetown’s McCourt School and holds a BS in Public Policy and BA in Sociology from the University of Southern California. He serves on the Board of Directors for the USC Men’s Crew Foundation and remains involved in his alma mater’s rowing program.
He has been an active member of Del Ray Baptist Church since 2016. Sam and his wife, Amber, live just south of Old Town, Alexandria with their three children, the oldest of whom is enrolled at Potomac Classical. As a family, they love exploring local trails and cycling, frequently visiting Mount Vernon, and still hold out hope to one day have a family band.
Marshall Gaddis
Marshall was born in Belmont, NC. He was raised by faithful Christian parents and came to faith in early middle school. He studied at NC State University where he received a BS in Statistics and MS in Analytics. He then moved to northern Virginia to start a career in consulting at Deloitte, serving primarily government agencies and financial institutions through statistical modeling projects. He has since joined Google where he works as a Technical Account Manager for enterprise cloud customers.
While his career brought him to the DC area, the community of Capitol Hill Baptist Church quickly became the anchor for him to stay. He is thankful to have met his lovely wife of nine years, Tara, at CHBC. They have three wonderful boys ages 6, 4, and 2, including their oldest who is in first grade at Potomac Classical. Marshall and Tara have been members of CHBC for over eleven years and Marshall currently serves as an elder.
Outside of his daily work, you can find Marshall enjoying a cup of cold brew coffee, looking for a (family friendly) hike in the DMV area, or on the little league field with his boys.

Allison holds a Master of Arts degree in Classical Christian Education & Leadership from Gordon College and earned her Bachelor of Science from Liberty University.
Previously, Allison worked on Capitol Hill as a Press Secretary for the third-ranking U.S. Senator Rick Santorum (PA), Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference. The SBS was the division of the Crossway Books publishing house responsible for fundraising to support the initial wave of distribution of the newly-released English Standard Version of the Bible (ESV); it was her joy and honor to assist in raising one million dollars over a few short months and to witness hundreds of thousands of ESV Bibles circulate the globe for the first time.
She has been an active member of Capitol Hill Baptist Church for nearly 17 years. She and her husband Chad live in the City of Alexandria with their four delightful and exhausting children, all of which are school-aged and enrolled at Potomac Classical.
