2023-2024 Annual Giving Campaign: $300,000

At Potomac Classical Conservatory, we know the purpose of education is formation; it is training students to become lovers of God who are awakened and attuned to His beauty, goodness, and truth. We recognize and love that the primary place of virtue formation in the life of a child ought not be the school: it is the home and church! Our mission is to offer support to homeschooling parents who desire to be greatly engaged in the education of their children; namely, a classical Christian collaborative education.

As parents and educators we model this devotion to Jesus and his Church, as well as a lifelong love of learning. True knowledge consists not in bending the truth to ourselves, but in conforming ourselves to the truth. We aim to cultivate wonder at God’s world, lay the foundation for wisdom, and ultimately lead students to true worship.

Importantly, this year’s Annual Fund seeks to raise $300,000 towards:

  • Expansion of our Scholars Program. We have launched our 9th grade program this year and intend to add one grade per year; 10th grade in 2024-2025. This is exciting (yet expensive)!

  • Continue to maintain our impressive 6:1 student-to-teacher ratio; average of 12 students per classroom. This is a rare and remarkable statistic that allows for a strong partnership between parents and teachers.

  • Maintain complete financial independence as an institution. We decline state and federal subsidies in order to maintain freedom from undesired federal regulations. This allows us to retain the freedom to educate our children and grandchildren in accordance with Scripture regardless of regulations set forth by government agencies.

  • Continue to improve content, quality, and consistency of curricula across all grades.

  • Faculty professional development: top-notch, expert, on-site faculty training via Yeap Ban Har, education expert in Singapore Math training. Also, enroll two faculty members in the Barton Reading & Spelling Structured Literacy program to better address the needs of students who need additional support and tutoring.

  • Ongoing consideration of local real estate opportunities; we are outgrowing our current spaces.

Building and sustaining a classical Christian collaborative school in the DC metro region requires extensive resources and much hard work. Accomplishing these goals and serving families in this area is exceptionally resource intensive. Will you partner with us and invest in educating students to the Glory of God? Your donation will help actively sustain this mission now and, Lord willing, for generations to come.
