Who We Are
Potomac Classical Conservatory is Alexandria’s first collaborative-model education program.
Our K-10 students formally meet for classroom instruction and tutoring on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:30-3:30, thus allowing them to complete schoolwork assignments at home on Mondays and Thursdays with their families. The heartbeat of our mission is found in our desire to inspire, encourage, and support homeschooling families by offering a comprehensive, Christ-centered, classical education framework to share in the work of education; encouraging character development, challenging the ability to reason and think, and shaping students’ affections for high quality friendships, fellowship and a lifelong love for learning.
Potomac Classical is faith-based, registered, and active member of the Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS).

Educational Philosophy
PCC aims to develop students who are marked by their virtue and their intellect. We desire to teach our students to love learning and delight in clear thinking. We wish to equip them to communicate powerfully, winsomely, and graciously with the written and spoken word. We also believe that a child’s own parent is uniquely empowered and called to instill virtue and wisdom.

Statement of Faith
The statement of faith of Potomac Classical Conservatory is limited to primary Christian doctrine, which is considered to be central to all Christian denominations, and which sets Protestant Christianity apart from other faiths. Potomac Classical operates from a Reformed Biblical worldview. For our purposes, a Christian is one who has heard the word of truth, Gospel (Col. 1:5), as summarized in the statement below, and who has responded to that message in genuine repentance and faith. He confesses with his mouth and believes in his heart that Jesus is Lord, that He died for his sins, and that God raised Him from the dead (Rom.10:9,10).
